About

What are Earofoils? Earofoils are simple protective cover that attaches to a helmet to protect your ears by reducing wind and sun exposure.

Born and bred in the Australian capital Canberra, I have been a rider for most of my life - both for transport and leisure. If you know Canberra at all, you will know it can get cold - albeit not as cold as some places.

As the cold weather sets in, I dread getting up in the morning and stepping out into the cold. I tried many things to keep my ears warm, but none quite fitted on my head... So, I decided to come up with a simple solution. After many trials and prototypes, Earofoils were born.

Not only do Earofoils provide your ears some well need protection in the winter, but also in the summer.

Bringing Earofoils to the market

Earofoils (Australian Design No. 201912810) are always being evolved and improved. We have been working with an Australian manufacturer to assist with fine tuning production methods. The great news is the test runs have led to better product. A better product that can be 100% manufactured in Australia.

We have moved on from concept to production and Earofoils are now available to be bought and enjoyed.

More information on developing Earofoils (the journey and product review), as well information on how to protect yourself from the cold and products we like will appear on this site as we continue the ride forward.

Understanding what consumers and the market want are an important part of our journey. If you have thoughts, let us know: peter@earofoils.com.

EAROFOILS – USE GUIDE

Earofoils are designed to fit most helmets. However, there are some helmets that have rear affixing straps that Earofoils may not fit. If they do not fit, or you find them defective please contact us at peter@earofoils.com.

Step 1

Remove the Earofoils from the packaging.

Pull the inside tab away from the outer liner, to create a space for the helmet straps to pass through.

Step 2

Ensure helmet straps are set and fit comfortably.

Start by insert the helmet strap through the Earofoils on one side of the helmet.

Step 3

Slide the helmet strap through the gap between the front and rear layers of the Earofoils.

Step 4

Push the Earofoil up towards the helmet.

Users can choose to wear the Earofoils, close, under the rim of the helmet or sitting slightly below.

Step 5

Repeat steps 1-4 for the other side of the helmet.
